Cat's-Eye Intelligence Service
is a Texas business that has provided services to legal
professionals since 1989. Licensed (A-12146) by the Private Security Bureau of the Texas Department of Public
Safety, our staff is composed of private investigators, process servers,
paralegals, notaries, and legal
consultants. We retain our own legal counsel for consultation.
MISSION:
The primary goal of Cat’s-Eye
Intelligence Service is to provide legal services that will
benefit attorneys and their legal support staff, their
clients, and the consumer public.
To
accomplish this end, Cat's-Eye
provides four online sources for professionals in the field
of security.
Two
are now fully active (PI-CEU,
for Private Investigators, and PS-Academy,
for Private
Process Servers), while two are being finalized (PSI-CEU, for
private security
personnel, and PeaceOfficers-CEU,
for Peace Officers). Each online site makes information
available without charge to any person who has a computer
with a connection to the Internet.
Primarily, these on-line
resources are designed to -
1) reduce the
cost, increase the efficiency, and make it more convenient
for professionals in the security field to obtain continuing
education credits and professional training.
2)
significantly improve the ability of an individual service
provider to publicize his or her services to potential clients
across Texas and the United States...at little or no cost;
3)
enhance and simplify the manner in which attorneys and their
staff can search for, identify and locate professionals who
provide legal support services in the private security field;
For lawyers, their
legal support staff, business professionals and consumers
needing these services, our sites offer a simple, more efficient,
and more fully inclusive venue.
All our websites
offer security professionals an opportunity to take courses on-line,
and meet state requirements for continuing education more
conveniently... and at less expense. We issue
Continuing Education Credits for professionals who successfully
complete one of our training courses. For private process servers, PS-Academy
provides online courses of instruction that have been approved
by the Dallas and Denton Courts, and we have made
application for approval as an accredited school of
instruction from the Texas Process Review Board of the Supreme
Court of Texas.
Essentially, these sites
offer private security professionals
a more effective way to improve their skills and maintain their
proficiency by giving them a more convenient, less costly
forum.
The end result
for the professional security service provider is greater
efficiency, giving them a less expensive way to improve their services, reach a
larger and yet more target-specific audience, and improve
their overall skills levels. During
2003 and 2004, Cat's-Eye worked diligently with state
senators, legislators, and the Supreme Court of Texas
to change the way service of process was conducted in
Texas. We submitted a set of recommendations, most of
which were
subsequently incorporated into the amended Rule 103 of the
Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
